cvmedtech
Hi everyone! I will be beginning PA school in July and I was wondering if there are any materials that you found helpful to have during didactic year. Any tapes, PANCE reviews books or other study materials that you thought were helpful during this year? I appreciate any information! Thanks in advance. cg02186
Kahn Academy and Armando are great YouTube videos for everything, especially pathophys
SERENITY NOW
For anatomy, if you have any free time I'd recommend checking out the Anatomy for the Emergency Physician podcast by the Irish doctor for awesome clinical correlation to help retain the most important things. For exam prep, tons of resources out there, but my favorite review book has got to be pance prep pearls. It does a really good job encapsulating what you need to know and why you need to know it, which makes things stick much better compared to most review books IMO. Definitely worthwhile to get a good question bank book to get in the habit of converting your book knowledge to testing capabilities, and it really helps reinforce the most important rote facts. My favorite was Lange QnA Physician Assistant exam, which groups the questions up by subsection.
FrankB
http://onlinemeded.org One of the best resources, almost my entire class uses it to help organize treatments, diagnostics, etc. I only use the videos, which are free, but the other materials are very good as well. I agree with CG Armando on Kahn academy was very helpful for patho. One more is MRTAPS for memorizing heart murmurs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwHIvhK2euE&list=PLdSShg6TECEiToq_ST9z%20KT1ABiEIun0B0
charlotte
I liked the Essential Anatomy app for anatomy. It's 3D and you can remove layers. If you have a touch screen it's even better!

CVTSPA
Maxwell's pocket guide, Tarascon pharmacoepeia app, medscape app, A Comprehensive Review for the certification and recertification examinations for physician assistants. Probably the best resources you can use on the fly, especially during clinical year.
kmb5662
For didactic I couldn't live without: - Step Up To Medicine - Pance Prep Pearls - Lange Q&A - The Certification and Re-certification Guide for PAs - First Aid Clerkship Series: OB/GYN
