Applicant
I am deciding between two schools- Campbell and more established schools like GWU and Emory. My pre-PA interest is in primary care/family medicine. Rankings don't matter to me. There are a lot of things about Campbell that appeal to me more and more (cheaper cost of living, small class size, closer to friends/significant other, etc). Campbell seems to have a good network of clinical rotation sights within the state and offer 2 elective rotations which they can connect you with a specialty or you could arrange something of your own (so I like that option/flexibility). But I was wondering if anyone has ever had to decide between a newer program vs. an older program and how did you go about finalizing your decision? What led you down that path? What were the non-negotiables for you?
sullivke
I haven't had to choose between an older program and a newer one, but it sounds like your arguments for Campbell are spot on. Support system nearby, cheaper, and more individualized attention at school--sounds like a slam dunk to me :) Congrats on getting into both schools!
