pctpct Posted February 7, 2024 Hi all! I have about 3,000 hours of direct patient care experience (EMT, nursing assistant, PCT) but am looking to transition jobs from PCT to pharmacy tech. I know pharm tech is more HCE than PCE, but was wondering if it's still ok seeing as I have plenty of PCE already. My only thought would be it might look bad to take that step down to being less hands on...? Let me know what yall think thank you! Quote
ohiovolffemtp Posted February 7, 2024 You've already punched the PCE ticket. View the pharmacy tech job as a chance to learn as much as you can about the meds - which will definitely help you in PA school. 1 1 Quote
SedRate Posted February 7, 2024 I'm not in admissions but personally I would view this as a positive thing. Should be good experience for your future career and also add a more rounded experience for you. 1 1 Quote
