daylite2000 Posted December 5, 2023 Hey everyone, I had an interview recently and I can't stop thinking about the way I approached this question, "What will you do if you aren't accepted into a program this cycle?" I responded "I gave my self three cycles and after that I will reevaluate. But if I don't get accepted this cycle.." and I went into talking about a new job where I get a different patient care experience from what I've been doing now. I'm hung up on how I began this answer (about giving myself a deadline basically); was I too honest? I feel like I should have went straight into my plan if I don't get accepted. Fyi this is my second cycle and first time applying to this specific program. Quote
PAhopeful0123 Posted December 5, 2023 You can’t beat yourself up for something that’s done. I think honesty is important and someone from an ad-com should understand. 2 Quote
68WEMTto65DPAC Posted December 11, 2023 I don't think adcoms expect people to apply perpetually to PA school as if life isn't happening. I think your answer can communicate resilience and commitment to get this done even if it takes longer that expected. 1 Quote
