Soybeans Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Hi everyone! I have been working as a medical assistant in the practice that I work in for 2 years. In this role, I am responsible for taking on both MA duties (vitals, labs, etc.) as well as receptionist and scribe. As a scribe, we follow the providers into the rooms and document all information. The providers will also allow us to examine patients (minimally). This PA I work with, the only PA in the practice, is also writing me a letter of recommendation. Would it be okay for him to write me a letter and to sign off on shadowing hours? Technically I do shadow him when I work with him. Thanks for the help in advance. HHPA25 Posted May 15, 2023 Share Posted May 15, 2023 I'm not sure about him signing off on the hours, if that is something school specific, but you should be able to just list him/the hours under shadowing and put his contact info.
