discogenic
First let me say that I have zero training in Emergency Medicine, so forgive me if this turns out to be a dumb question. I came across this blog article about thrombolytics for stroke and was surprised to read this opinion. http://www.smartem.org/content/delusions-benefit-international-stroke-trial As someone from outside Emergency Medicine, I guess I assumed that these meds were very effective when used appropriately. According to the article, the research hasn't been that clear. "Thrombolytics have remained controversial for acute stroke partly because nine of the eleven major trials to date have demonstrated either no benefit or else harm." So are these meds controversial?
