It'd probably be easier to volunteer at a hospital or obtain an internship as you are a freshmen. I didn't find shadowing opportunities until 2020-2022. That was because I was finally working in a more clinical setting during those years, and I was able to connect with MD's who knew of PA's to shadow. Don't be afraid to make connections with anyone in the medical field as you get more experience. You never know where those connections will bring you to.
