Kelcey13
Hello! I am wondering if the SP you choose to bring on board for a PA run business needs to already work in the specialty of the medical practice you are trying to start. For example, can a family medicine physician be an SP for an aesthetic clinic? Thanks in advance!
Kelcey13
Also wondering if the Sp has to be licensed in the same state as the practice you are wanting to start! Thank you!
ohiovolffemtp
Yes, your SP needs to have an active license in the state that you will be practicing in. Both you and your SP will have to comply with that states supervision laws. 1
Petunia
In Florida the SP MUSH be board certified in plastic surgery or dermatology, they cannot be primary care even if they have aesthetics in their primary clinic. They also need to be located within 25 miles of the PA owned practice.
