snguyen00 Posted February 1, 2021 Share Posted February 1, 2021 Hello! I've been practicing for 3.5 years in Texas and interviewing for my first derm job (also in Texas). Does anyone have advice or mind sharing their experiences with contracts and compensation models? I was offered the following options 1) a base salary of $50,000 plus 25% of collections or 2) base salary of $70,000 which would be under review every 6months or a year for a $5k-10k increase, both time and amount dependent on contract agreement and production. I wasn't able to find a general average for new grad derm PAs in Texas - anyone able to give input on that? Any advice, suggestions, or experiences to share? Or even resources? AbeTheBabe Posted February 2, 2021 Share Posted February 2, 2021 What percentage of collections do you get with the base 70K salary? 50K sounds super low but if it's 25% of all collections you can easily bring in 100K+ with just the bonus. Right now talks are at a stand still because the new office (bigger, newer) where the practice is moving to is tied up with inspection.
