Expectations during summer break

Recommended Posts

I am a 2nd year PA student amidst a very extended time off from school because of a normally scheduled summer break. During this time I have found it very challenging to stay productive with my studies due to not having a curriculum, nor having any guidance on what we should be doing to Stay productive. Not to mention the pandemic hasn’t helped with my productivity. Anyone out there have any tips or suggestions for me to help me get prepared for the 2nd year? Can any other students relate?

I'm assuming you'll be graduating at the end of the year? You could start planning your PANCE review, take some practice tests, see where you're still weak, and work on those areas.

My father tells of his life as a young aircraft mechanic in the 40s. He lived in a place where the weather closed in during the winter and there often were no flying operations going on. Lots of the mechanics would spend their shifts in the ready room, smoking, swapping stories, and playing cards. Dad would just go out to one of the planes in the hanger and find something that needed doing.

Attitude when no one is telling you what to do can make all the difference.
