What percentage increase is acceptable for an annual raise?

Recommended Posts

I've been working at my current job for nearly a year and honestly have no experience in negotiating raises. I was told when hired that it is essentially based on how well I am performing. I've been told by my SP and coworkers how impressed they have been with me as a new grad so I feel a bit more confident in asking for a decent raise (currently $115k). thank you for your input

It depends on what setting you are in. I am with a large corporation that has a 0-4% annual raise based on performance. 4% might not sound like much, but $5k extra per year can add up pretty quickly

I have no idea about your specialty or location but if your setting's raise structure isn't as rigid, I would feel comfortable asking for anything from $120-125k
