PAstudentCanada
I have been asked by nursing management/nurse educators on the surgical ward where I am doing my core rotation in surgery (I am in clerkship still) to give a presentation on PAs as the role is relatively new in Canada. I am doing to talk about the history of the profession, how PAs are trained and regulated, and what PAs actually do. Any advice for me? Any resources that might be helpful in scripting my presentation/putting in the powerpoint slides I might use?
NewtonsApple
http://www.aapa.org/the_pa_profession.aspx This link will take you to the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), which is a national organization for PAs, and should be a good starting point. By the way, the AAPA is holding their national conference next spring in Toronto as a way to increase PA awareness in Canada.
