2full2eat
Hello, Im a pre-professional student, who wants to ask those that are already in the field. I want to know, after shadowing a PA for sometime, how do I go about getting a reference letter? Obviously asking will do, but how will a person who knows so little about me and work experience etc, be able to write an "outstanding" letter of reference for me? Should I bring it up to one of the PA's i have been shadowing that I need a reference letter that says this much about me, and see how he/she goes about learning that information about me? A little confused about this. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks
JFarnsworth
My advice is to ask questions about things you see, be well versed in the profession, have good rapport with patients and staff, and then ask for the letter. If you've impressed the PA then they'll be happy to write that letter. I did for a pre-PA who shadowed me, cause I thought she was awesome.
