masters degree options for PA-C's

Recommended Posts

Hey, I think there was an older thread on this but can't find it for some reason. What do you think the best masters degrees are for PA-C's who don't get one right out of school? I've been practicing now for two years and have a bachelors. My SP is really encouraging me to pursue a MPH. I practice in dermatology and am also involved in a lot of research. The MPAS seems to be a great option, but how versatile is it if you ever wanted to pursue other avenues?

It depends greatly on what you define as "other avenues".. If you are thinking of something in administration, than an MBA or MPH would likely be a little more valuable. Not to say that you cannot pursue that with an MPAS, but you will likely be looked on more favorably with a more diverse educational background.
