daisy88 Posted August 17, 2014 Hello everyone! I am working on my supplemental application for UAB right now and have read everything on Facebook page and the site, and have been to the information session. I wanted to see if any of the students or alumni could give any insight to the program that they would like to share with the future students? What did you love about the program? What makes it so special? I am working on my supplemental application right now and any of your wonderful insight would be greatly appreciated. For me, I love the fact that UAB is one of the few programs concentrating on surgery and at the same time shifting attention to primary care. At the information session I found out that though the upcoming curriculum is different then being focused on surgical, it still has the electives and many courses that are still going to be focused on surgery as well as other specialities especially primary care. Another thing I love about the program, is that out of the four or five faculty I have talked, they have all been wonderful and helpful. They are very dedicated to teaching and that is very important to helping students succeed. Of course the campus and facilities are top notch.
