JCofield
Quick question: When applying for a license, and when you are asked about convictions, can you answer "no" when the charges were dismissed, you got the dismissed case expunged, and your fingerprints and arrest card was returned? I know state agencies can see EVERYTHING, but is it still being honest when you answer 'NO"? It's not like you got a conviction expunged, you never were. Any information would be greatly appreciated. chatcat
The question is if you have ever been convicted of a crime. I would think it best to answer this question honestly and not to give the state licensing board a reason to deny your license when they do a background check and discover you falsified your application information. In most cases, they will ask about the circumstances of the conviction which is where you can provide further information.
Pbuonocore
If you were never convicted for a crime then you've never been convicted for a crime lol. Being arrested or even being on trial does not make you a criminal. If you were arrested for a felony but were not convicted (ie case dismissed or exonerated) then you are not lying when you say you've never been convicted of a felony. If the question asked if you were ever arrested then that's another story.
