Tonydotcom
I have a problem with trying to apply for anything in the medical field because of a misdemeanor. And yes, its a pretty bad one, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Ive already expunged it, but i know when they do the live finger scan it will show and it will disqualify me. My question is, has anyone ever gotten into a program and gotten their license with this crime or a equally bad crime? I know there are some states that allows this, my friend said Michigan but im not sure. I am from California btw and its pretty strict here
SocialMedicine
More important than PA school is can you obtain a clinical position afterward. What are state laws where you want to practice? Call the medical board and ASK. What will you have to indicate on application for hospital credentialing ? consult an attorney or human resources at a hospital for advice here.
