azucardulce
I'm a first year student in the program. The summer semester is anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, intro to pa, and bioethics/behavioral medicine, 12 credit hours total. Six of the 12 hours, and 3 days each week are devoted to anatomy lecture and lab. 80-90% of your effort is spent studying anatomy. We start fall semester next week, and will begin a more synchronized curriculum with respect to body systems across the following courses: patho, pharm, fundamentals of clinical medicine, clinical problem solving, community health, physical diagnosis, urgent issues, and research methods. The course load for the fall is larger than the summer (18 credit hours) , but fall semester is also a few weeks longer than the summer. Spring and summer semesters are supposed to be similar to fall, with a continuation of synchronized block-style teaching in systems across most of the courses.
