jtrabant
I am a PA hopefull in my undergrad with an Athletic Training major. I am hoping to specialize in orthopedics once finishing PA school. I just had a few questions about it however. Does becoming an orthopedic PA require extra schooling beyond PA school? I can't seem to find any clear information about this. I thought I may get a few better answers if I posted here rather than on the Pre-PA discussion.
rcdavis
The answer, for the foreseeable future, is no. Graduate, get hired as a new grad, and learn as you will be taught by your surgeon what you need to know.

UGoLong
Several of my classmates were athletic trainer undergrads. Virtually all went directly into ortho. It seems to be a good starting point. Lots of jobs too, it seems.
