bcurtis
Hey all, I have been a long time lurker on this forum. My university just sanctioned a PA program and it should start matriculating students in the spring of either 2014 or 2015. I graduate in the spring of 2015, maybe sooner if I keep going at the rate that I am. My question is: I took microbiology for the health sciences for a nursing school prereq and I noticed that the requirements sheet stated just microbiology, how different are these two courses; and will I have to take a true microbiology class? winterallsummer
Depends on the school, call the school you want to apply to and ask.
D.C.
^ what he/she said. At my university they offer both courses, and they are considered interchangeable, to the point where if you have credit in one, you aren't allowed to take the other. So I suspect your nursing pre-req will count.
bcurtis
I figured it was on a school buy school basis, my school has both of these as well so I hope they can be used in place of each other. Thanks guys, and I hope to be posting more in the future.
