Mycallways
Hello all, I am new to the forum and thank you in advance for all your help. I recently graduated and became certified. I have received an offer from a private primary care practice outside of Boston and wanted to run the terms by the forum to get some input. The starting salary is $85000/year with a raise after 12 months based on performance. 40 hrs/wk, telephone call every 5th weekend. Medical insurance is 100% paid for. No dental. 3 weeks vacation (accrued over time). $1200 CME allowance, but no additional time off for CME. 401k privileges after 12 months employment. The practice will cover licensing fees. Thank you for your input.
kbarro1
I think it sounds like an ok offer to start but would look at a few more things.... What will your patient load be? --as a new pa you will not want them loading you with 30-40 pts per day bc you will be drowning what will your supervision be like? --you will need a little hand holding at first. Don't let them leave you in an office by yourself the cme time off is not huge but even 2 days cme time would be nice
