terr
I'm currently not employed but looking for my first PA job. My ACLS and PALS expire this month. Does anyone know if the online only ACLS/PALS courses are legitimate?

CCEMPA
Hey Terr, ACLS instructor and recent online PALS recert-er here. The AHA now OFFICIALLY offers online renewal of the classroom portion for both ACLS and PALS (on their site). Be advised however, you will need to find, schedule, and take the practical portions with an instructor in order to actually obtain your card. My personal advice having just completed the online PALS? Take an actual course. The programs are a real pain (digital-hands on scenarios), and if you are rusty, you literally won't relearn or refresh on a dang thing. Hopefully down the road they update them to include such material, but until then find a course. Pros: Cheaper "Convenient" Cons: Wont learn anything Outdated material Need to schedule practical portion
