jdumoch
Hi.. I believe you can claim CME's for precepting PA's. Part of my job is training new docs on how to practice emergency medicine and refreshing them on performing procedures such as suturing, i & d's.. etc. I'm wondering if I can claim CME's for this as well? primadonna22274
Cat II, yes, but not cat I. Cat II maxes out at 50 hr/2 yr cycle.
NoClinic4Me
The drive to count precepting students as category I has been pushed for a long time. It seems the pushing has finally worked as I heard it announced at PAEA in Seattle last month that it will soon count for category I. primadonna22274
Just precepting or will classroom instruction also count for cat I? That would be awesome.

Great question and I don't know the answer. The whole thing is a little unclear to me yet but we'll see I guess.
