JasonVAPsychPA
Hi, everyone, the VA Psychiatry residency located in Albuquerque, New Mexico is currently accepting applications for August matriculation. We are a one year residency with a variety of in- and out-patient rotations including multiple sub-specialties. We also have weekly didactics covering all major areas of the CAQ content blueprint. Our psychotherapy training includes supportive psychotherapy and motivational interviewing as well as several brief lectures on other forms of evidence based psychotherapy. The curriculum is designed to prepare you and qualify you for the CAQ. Residents are paid roughly $75,000 per year and you will receive vacation time, sick time and health insurance. After completion you can easily be directly appointed to positions at any VA. New Mexico is a culturally and geologically diverse state with mild snowy winters and over 300 days of sun per year. You can find more details here: Physician Assistant Post-Graduate Residency In Mental Health (Psychiatry) | VA New Mexico Health Care | Veterans Affairs or I am glad to answer any questions you have.
