SedRate
Free: networking with folks you know (classmates, professors, preceptors, etc) and see what kind of potential connections are out there. As for those conferences, I've never been so I don't have insight for you there. However, I have been to specialty conferences and found them to be great networking opportunities, especially the lunches, skills clinics, meeting people and then going out afterwards, etc.
ohiovolffemtp
SEMPA has many recruiters present: TeamHealth, USACS, Vituity, Envision, Mayo, etc. I can't speak to their interest in a student, but they would be a great source of information about what they're looking for and the overall job market. It's also the best place to network if you want to do EM.
