RPT

Recommended Posts

I worked in an Urgent Care Clinic for a few years and was able to challenge the Radiology Practical Technician (RPT).  This limited scope X-ray technician license is available in many States and was helpful in the Urgent Care Clinic for most common Chest xrays and extremities.  There are a lot of helpful study guides out there for the physics, positioning and anatomy.  Getting some “hands on” helps too!  Everything is digital today so learning to develop films is uncommon. Check with your individual State for licensing requirements. Mine was simply fingerprints and a series of exams administered by ARRT.
