Tail Coverage - Advice, Recommendations, Experiences

Recommended Posts

I've been a practicing PA for 8 years now with the past 7 in CT surgery.  I'm looking to move to a new state and am currently trying to negotiate tail coverage with my new employer, though, I'm afraid this is not going to be provided.  That being said...my current employer will cover for a short period of time but not the entire duration for the statue of limitations on a malpractice suit to run out.

Does anyone have experience with covering their own tail?  Ballpark pricing?  How to go about getting coverage quotes?  Any information at all I'd sure appreciate.  Thanks.
