Mike593NA
Looking for some advice about my possible first job! I have always wanted to go into the ER, and I just got my first offer. I am a little nervous about the lack of training though. The ER is in a big city in the South with a high volume. For the first 3 shifts I will have double coverage with another PA but after that it will just be me and the attending. I was told I will be in the fast track for about 3 months to get use to things and then be on the main side. The only other downside is 0 PTO hours, I was told it is because we only are working 12 shifts a month. The salary is good as well as the benefits. Any advice if this is adequate support/training for a new graduate in the ER?
