Recommended Posts

The Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) at Dallas is offering a postgraduate fellowship program in Urology. The Department of Urology has been utilizing physician assistants (PAs) since 2003. Currently, we have three fully integrated PAs that practice in the inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as, first assist in the operating room.

The Department of Urology at UTSW is offering a unique and rewarding Physician Assistant Urology Fellowship Program. This 12 month program will offer an opportunity to work with one of the best Urology Departments in the United States and amongst some of the most respected Urologists in the world. The PA Fellow will be given the opportunity to gain additional experience in all aspects of urologic care including Urologic Oncology, BPH/LUTS, Stone disease, Female/Neurourology, and Reconstructive/Prosthetics/Trauma.

Urology has always been on the forefront of technology and development, constantly pushing the envelope in areas such as endoscopy, percutaneous surgery, reconstructive surgery, and laparoscopic and robotic procedures. The need for Urologic trained PAs is growing, and they will be called upon to fill the healthcare workforce needs of the future. Urology is one of the most vibrant, dynamic, and rewarding surgical specialties.
