IdahoPA
Congrats!! I was looking into that, as well. Do you mind if I ask you what all you need to do? Thanks!
Maverick87
First, get in contact with your recruiter. You'll have to: 1) Sign a bunch of different things 2) Get a physical at a local base 3) Fill out a workbook with your family history, education, employment, etc 4) Give them a resume 5) Get 3 letters of recommendation 6) Answer a 9 question essay 7) Have a phone interview 8) Have your recruiter put you on the Scroll (which is the waiting list to be commissioned at an officer) 9) Background check once you get in Also, visit a base and speak to other military PAs to make sure that you actually want to do it. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions. Mav
bbrown41788
you don't mind me asking what your GPA was? I have been looking into HPSP through either the AF or Navy. I have around a 3.2 GPA, which is barely enough to get me into PA school in the first place. I spoke to a healthcare recruiter who assures me that nearly 100% of PA HPSP applicants get it due to the need to PA's in service. You thoughts?? thx
