Ortho-to-Interventional PM
Dear colleagues, I have been in Ortho for 5 years and have OR nursing background as well. My first PA job was in a hospital- based Ortho oncology practice and included inpatient, outpatient, and occasional OR. Over past 3 years, I have practiced in a private ortho outpatient setting treating, mostly, work comp/ MVA related injuries. Looking into moving to Interventional Pain Management but, other than intraarticular joint injections, I do not have experience in other IPM procedures. What should I negotiate as a reasonable base salary, given that procedure productivity bonus is available? How much would a bonus come up to and how much would be take home income, if with time, I would manage to perform 3-4 procedures/hr (mostly facet blocks)? The job is in Maryland. Please advise. Thank you.
