baj6974
I am 36, just now starting out for a BSW (social work) then as well as a double major w/ a BS in Biology so I can hopefully get acccepted in a PA program. Will a Stafford Loan I guess pay for it? My credit is very poor due to being unemployed and medical bills, no co-signer and reside w/ my girlfriend who is a RN x 20yrs and is acceptable of me going back to school to get a career, her credit is bad as well. I am now currently, being my EFC is 0 accepted for 5,550.00 which is suffice for undergrad studies,I will even have a few thousand bucks left over that I will invest (Yes, I am knowledgeable about stocks) but I am concerned w/ PA program financing far as federal / state grants, but I am not worried for having the extra money for rent,food,bills,etc....I am thinking I should be fine, thoughts? And Yes, I can keep my EFC at zero, being I haven't found a job or filed taxes for being unemployed x 2 yrs, I know some may think I am a loser, but I have had a rough life,I never been in trouble, but just no luck w/having a nice career, but I have a wonderful home life! Anyone else begin later in life? I know there is a section regarding FA Now on a lighter note please share some of your funny stories, especially the e.r. PA's.... bradtPA
Stafford maxes out at $ 20,500 per year. you can do it IF you can find a school for less than that total cost. With no cosigner, and no credit, private loans will be impossible to get as will grad plus.
