ka42518
Are there any PA students who have either a masters in social work or who are licensed social workers that made the transition to the PA profession? If so, can you give me some insight as to why you decided to change career paths? Thanks
tcd1976
Why don't you share your thought process? :)
jschmitz47
An MSW seems like terrific preparation for the patient-care part of being a PA (or MD/RN/NP/...) If you have the sciences part covered, education and experience in SW will be a very big plus at many or most schools.
ka42518
Thank you jschmitz47, I was very wary about my background I didn't know if it would be enough. Yes i will start taking my pre reqs this summer and I will also be shadowing a PA this month as well. I am applying in 2012. Are you a PA student?
