Intermountain Medical Center Trauma and Surgical Critical Care?

I never know how to feel about pa residencies at level 1/academic hospitals that also house physician residencies. I have heard from many PA residents that they have to compete with the physician residents and end up not getting many procedures.

I'm starting this program in October. But from what I know, the issue of competing with physician residents is not a problem with this program. The trauma team works closely with the EM physicians and residents, but the PA/NP resident is often the one running the trauma, doing procedures, and assisting in the OR. The value that the PA's/NP's have on the trauma team is one of the biggest advantages of this program in my opinion.
