jmj11 Posted March 14, 2013 99487 Complex chronic care coordination services; first hour of clinical staff time directed by a physician or other qualified health care professional with no face-to- face visit, per calendar month. I've studied this for a while and am just getting ready to start using it. Anyone have any experience with it yet?
jdenning Posted March 14, 2013 Haven't used it myself yet but could... our ALS clinic providers have started using it. Mostly covers exactly that - complex coordination of care but needs really good documentation of who you talked to and why and what was done etc. Not sure on the percentage of reimbursement; MD signs off on any of these the PA does.
crank Posted April 1, 2013 Hope this provides the best treatment for the patients, by providing the info in the form of good documentation.
