lilmissunshine Posted February 5, 2013 Hi all, I am graduating from PA school in Chicago area in June but really want to come home to the Constitution State. I've started looking and have some contacts that I sent my resumes out to but there has not been any response. I feel like most of the job openings I see posted online are for experienced PAs. Anybody have any ideas for me in terms of where to apply or how to search? Or know of anyone who would be interested in a new grad? I'm just worried that coming from an out of state program will count against me. Thanks all for your help! :)
HospitalRecruiting Posted March 7, 2014 I would recommend that you go ahead and apply for jobs that ask for experience. Also, mention your ties to Connecticut, as that will help employers to see you as a potentially long term hire. http://www.hospitalrecruiting.com/jobs/Physician-Assistant-Jobs/
HospitalRecruiting Posted March 7, 2014 Shoot, not an jobs listed here currently, but keep an eye out because new jobs come in all the time. http://www.hospitalrecruiting.com/jobs/Physician-Assistant-Jobs/Connecticut/
medic25 Posted March 7, 2014 We use a ton of PA's at Yale New Haven in almost every specialty. I don't know what field you are looking for, but you should look at the careers section of the YNHH.ORG website for current opportunities.
mainiac Posted May 4, 2014 I'd agree with above. A new grad or PA just wanting to go Home! Can have a huge advantage over someone looking to move to a new state who has no ties there. Best of Luck!
