g8orlife
Wow. It's been a while since I've been on these forums. Looks great! So, I decided to go to medical school. Is it possible to log CME credits for time spent in medical school? I have heard of this before but nothing concrete. If this is true, could someone direct me to where I could find more information? Thank you
bradtPA
IMHO that would count as type 2 CME only. Type one has to come from a preapproved source, and usually with questions and answers. Any training such as ACLS wil count as type 1, however; see the on line list at http://www.nccpa.net for which ones count and for what hours.... primadonna22274
Cat 2. You will take so many tests you will scratch your head wondering WHY you can't claim cat I but it is what it is. My PANRE #2 came up last fall in my first semester of M2. I didn't have time to study for it and took it the afternoon of our cardiology final. Despite my rummy head I got lucky with a huge proportion of cards questions ;) I scored an 800 and was amazed--so at least med school is a fantastic PANRE prep course :) Good luck. Don't underestimate how hard it is.

primadonna22274
Yes, halfway through. Step 1 in 4 mos...yikes! Don't want to hijack this thread--you can search my old posts going back to 2005 or so to find out why.
Iman
loool you answered before i put the question about why you did it lol but ... my question is do you keep you PAC when you become MD?
primadonna22274
I get asked this A LOT. This is my 12th yr as a PA. I will graduate in May 2014. Until then, I still work clinically part-time and wasn't about to let my C lapse. I have a cardinal rule: make plans, but always have a Plan B.
