There will still be a lot for you to learn in PA school, but (1) you will not be afraid to interact with a patient, (2) you will feel comfortable learning new hands-on skills, and (3) you will probably be a role model for some of your classmates. BTW, I still ride a couple of shifts each month as a medic 7 years out of PA school. Once it's in your blood, it's hard to let go. Good luck!
