nuttyprof
Hi All, I will be moving to a new country, either one in Africa or one in the Middle East in a couple years. I'd like to continue to practice as a PA there, but PA's simply arent recognized. Does anyone have any experience or advice on how to get PA's recognized and then to get a job overseas? Contrarian
You can also try to challenge the exams in the countries that have "Clinical Officers." I here anecdotally that a few PAs have had varying success doint this. The easier way may be to get licensed in Liberia first since they are actually called PAs and call their program PA school, then seek lateral reciprocity+/- testing in eastern Africa. You could also contact AMREF and see what they could/would do for you. As they deploy "Clinical Officers" to remote villages and do have some minor experience with PAs as clinical officers. Good Luck.
