jmj11
I give my medical assistant a cash bonus at Christmas, in lieu of either a gift or office party because I know that's what she needs money the most. It is usually several hundred dollars. I haven't decided yet this year as it is based on our budget.

Just Steve
My preceptor doesn't directly financially award her MA but her gifts to her throughout the year are well thought out and apparently highly appreciated. They have worked together for 8 years. Another PA I know personally cuts a check for 10% of her quarterly bonus to her MA. She explains that a good MA can increase her productivity by 50% so she makes sure the MA is well taken are of.
