Accepted! Midwestern class of 2015!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone and congrats on your acceptances! I thought we could start a thread to get to know our classmates a little better as well as to discuss what the upcoming year will hold for us! I don't know if a Facebook group would be a better way of going about this but I thought this forum would suffice for now.

As for me, I graduated from the University of Illinois in May 2012 where I studied biology. I am originally from the western suburbs of Chicago so Midwestern is not far from my hometown (still can't decide if I want to commute every day or try and live closer to campus!). I am using my year in between undergraduate and PA school to work as a CNA in an assisted living community.

I cannot wait to meet you all!

Hi Everyone!

Very similar story as emfechner. I graduated from a small liberal arts college in 2011 as a biology major. I'm also from a western suburb, but I currently live in Chicago. I've been working as a cancer researcher at Rush for the last two years and I'm excited to go back to school! I'm still deciding between Midwestern and another school. Can someone please tell me how they finally decided on Midwestern? Does anyone know if we there are clinicals at any of the major academic hospitals in Chicago? I called Midwestern but they have yet to get back to me. I'm very excited to meet everyone!

After long deliberation and hours of research, I officially decided to attend Midwestern! I am so excited!! I will be moving all the way from south florida, so hopefully i can handle the slight difference in weather :) I am 25 yrs old and currently working as a CNA until school starts. I am definitely hoping to get a roommate during school to help ease the immense amount of debt I will be building! Let me know if anyone creates a facebook group. Excited to meet everyone!

Hey everyone! I'm so excited for Midwestern and to meet everyone! I also went to Illinois (I-N-I!!!) and was a molecular and cellular biology major. I graduated in 2011. I'm in my second year off right now so I'm really anxious and happy to get back to school. I am currently working as a CNA in an assisted living. I live in the northwest suburbs so I'll most likely be commuting but not entirely sure yet. If someone makes a facebook group please let me know. So so excited!! :)

Huzzah for us all! I don't know about you guys but I am really excited for school to start and so ready to make the move up from North Carolina! Mdigenna- Thanks for creating that group- it will make finding a roommate(s?) a lot easier!

Speaking of...

I'm 24 years old, sarcastic, pretty clean and cook sometimes. I like to watch Parks & Rec, Top Chef and Hart of Dixie & I like going out on the weekends- I am really looking forward to exploring the city! Sooo if those qualities sound like what any of you, my future fellow classmates, are looking for in a roommate, let me know!

Hello everyone! I interviewed last Friday (Jan 11) and they posted online my acceptance, I called and confirmed today so any of you who haven't heard back yet and interviewed that day may want to check...I'm so excited! I'll be moving up there from Nashville, TN. I went to Clemson for my undergrad and was a psych major. I graduated in December 2010 and worked as a mental health case manager for about a year and a half and now I work at Vanderbilt Psych Hospital as a mental health specialist. I, too, will be looking for a roommate. I saw some nice places when I visited last week so if anyone is interested let me know! Congratulations ya'll and see you soon! I finally reactivated my facebook hahah so you can message me if you need,
