$ per RVU?

Recommended Posts

What is a typical dollar per RVU reimbursement for Family Medicine PAs, and where could we find such data? We are paid exclusively on RVUs and are concerned that our administration may be underpaying us based on industry standard . . . we just need data to prove what the industry standard is! Any info you have is much appreciated.

Hospitalist RVU Benchmarks and Standards: From a Hospitalist, For Hospitalists.

This recent article lays it out. Medicare RVUs are worth around $38. According to the article the average hospitalist gets around $45 per RVU. I don't think there is any standard as such. Some places give you the entire work RVU and take the rest for practice expenses. I don't think that there is a standard for RVU reimbursement. You might check with Michael Powe.
