AKay52
Hi all - I'm currently a dietitian at a nursing home - does anyone know if that will count as health care experience when applying? Have lots of direct patient contact, so hoping it will. I know I can call up and ask each program, just seeing if anyone has any information. Thanks! Best of luck to all :) Ali
greenmood
We have a registered dietician in my class. We also have two "nutritionists" which I have learned is not at all the same thing. So if that anecdote makes you feel better... you should still ask the school specifically. You don't want to gain a false sense of security from a stranger online only to find out months later when you finally apply that your dream school doesn't like RDs and you could have spent the time getting the right HCE. :)
swimbikerun4fun
There are several of us registered dietitians on this forum that are in school or waiting to be accepted.
