Cleverisallxx
I am almost done with writing my personal statement, but as I was re-reading it I felt a little unsure about one part... My essay starts off with an anecdote about wanting to become a doctor, but later realizing it wasn't right for me. Later on I talk about the reasons it wasn't right for me, and why the PA profession instead better fits my need (mainly length of schooling and my desire to start a family). But is this a topic I should be avoiding all together? It almost seems a little taboo! Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated! bppa
Hello I am also in a pre pa and just sent in my application. I personally do not think you should talk about the "convenience" factors of becoming a PA. My best
mkels
Bppa, I am curious then what you feel are valid reasons to want to be a PA and not an MD.
muchi
mypatraining.com has some great tips on do's and dont's for your essay. There is one posted somewhere in this forum too.
Cleverisallxx
Thanks, I will check out that link! bppa, I can understand why the topic should be avoided... I don't want it to seem like PA is my second choice. At the same time, I want to explain why it's the best choice for me. But maybe to be safe I should take it out...
