Handheld fluiroscope

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of following my supervising MD to a new office under a new company. It is an entirely new office that is still being  set up although a podiatrist has started his clinic.

i was just informed that we aren’t getting a miniC-arm for our x-rays, just a hand held fluoroscope, which is not ideal. However, this new company is saying no certification required for the handheld model and I totally disagree. I had looked into fluoro certification for use in the OR and I couldn’t find a reasonable training option or a way to get didactic hours. I can’t find anything specific on handheld fluoro’s, but fluoro is fluoro regardless of size in my mind.
Any feedback or resources would be greatly appreciated. I may need yo rethink this job.
