Anti-SCL-70 Antibody

Recommended Posts

Can one have scleroderma or systemic sclerosis without any skin changes as the presenting symptom? Is SCL70 Ab specific to scleroderma? Better yet, what other autoimmune conditions cause SCL70 to be positive when the confirmatory lupus/RA tests are negative? I appreciate someone pointing me to the right direction. I plan to check anti centromere Antibodies but are there other tests before I send this to Rheumatology? If you are in Rheum, what tests would you like to see before you see the patient.  I understand my presentation is pretty vague but I have reasons. Thanks for reading.
