amandaaa22
Hi everyone, I graduate in January and am starting the Butler bridge program in March. I am wondering what the didactic schedule is like for the 7 weeks of full-time classes. I am planning to get a waitressing job for the few months after graduation until I get credentialed and can start working as a PA. Just wanted to see if that's feasible with the class schedule. Thanks
ASchneid
Hey Amanda! Either you have started or are starting Monday! I did the Butler Bridge program last March and loved it. You can work while doing this program, but be prepared to balance. I had colleagues who had their licenses already and were working. I would say that it was difficult for those who worked during the seven weeks, and we had a couple drop out because they couldn’t attend class. I wouldn’t recommend doing it, but we all understand that bills must be paid and we can’t live for free. Class attendance is mandatory as you are graded on group work that is completed in class. Honestly, I had a great experience with this program and would recommend it to any PA wanting to pursue their doctorate right out of school. It made me more competitive for the job I wanted. Best of luck! -Adriel
