futureNYpa77
I was just offered a job in my dream field (dermatology) but there is a three year contract and a very high termination fee if I quit within those three years. Although I don't see myself quitting, I do foresee the future if I do end up being miserable at this job, I would end up needing to quit. I was wondering if this was normal in a contract? Is there a way to negotiate it out? The doctor states that he does not want to train me and teach me everything and have me end up quitting after learning, hence the 3 year contract. Any advice? Moderator LT_Oneal_PAC Posted July 18, 2022 Moderator Share Posted July 18, 2022 All stick and no carrot? I would ask if they would also give a bonus at three years. If not they are an ass. Or at least a 6 month no fault probationary period.
VentiMacchiato
what LT said. would you get the same amount if you finish the contract? Call it Completion of Contract Fee.
