I was just offered a job in my dream field (dermatology) but there is a three year contract and a very high termination fee if I quit within those three years. Although I don't see myself quitting, I do foresee the future if I do end up being miserable at this job, I would end up needing to quit. I was wondering if this was normal in a contract? Is there a way to negotiate it out? The doctor states that he does not want to train me and teach me everything and have me end up quitting after learning, hence the 3 year contract. Any advice?
