Either denied or WL for interview. Not entirely sure:

after careful consideration, and review of your application, we will not be able to offer you an interview at this time. This decision was not reached without deliberation and discussion.

If an interview seat becomes available, we will contact you directly.

Im not sure if this is the email they send to all rejected applicants or not, but it is definitely different than other rejection emails I have received in the past.

I got the same email. I wasn’t sure if it was a rejection or if it was a waitlist for an interview. Other rejections I’ve received were very straightforward, but this sounds like if someone else declines to interview, they may email again.
