I received an interview invite as well! Was everyone else’s interview invite over the phone, or did others receive an interview invite by email? I feel like I was in shock when I received the call and had trouble processing the information!

Did any of you submit personal statement on supplemental? Last year it said not to on the website. This year it only says do not upload LOR and transcript. Also if you did submit it did you send the one you uploaded on CASPA. Congrats to thise who have recieved interviews and Good Luck to everyone!

I did not include a personal statement in the supplemental application and got an interview invite as well. It seems like it doesn’t matter either way, as long as you have it in the CASPA. Hope this helps!

Congrats! 🙂 Can you share your stats and timeline?

Thank you!! 🙂 I submitted CASPA on June 14th and got the confirmation email from SIU on June 15th. I was already verified from a previous submission so I didn't have to wait for that. I am also a central Illinois native and I think they take that into consideration

cGPA: 3.83 (molecular and cellular bio major, grad May 2021)

sGPA: ~3.66

PCE: ~2600 hrs at submission (EMT, worked as an ER tech PRN and currently a pediatric ER tech FT)

HCE: ~160 hrs (COVID testing assistant)

Leadership: ~800 hrs (various positions in my university's collegiate EMS agency)

Teaching: ~300 hrs (virtual tutor, EMT course instructor, AHA BLS instructor)

Shadowing: ~40 hrs in person (derm, family med, CVICU/surgery PAs)

LORs: adv bio professor, nurse manager at current job, virtual tutoring supervisor, RN at current job (pending)

Good luck to everyone applying this cycle!! This is my first interview after 1 rejection so far.
